(one of 36 animated alphabet letters .. done within this year ´36-days-of-type´ Instagram challenge)

Overview:
It´s basically just a simple frame-by-frame animated line, combined with a ´smudged´ white ´moving´ texture placed over a still image/photo.
To keep things simple (and the process quicker), I used C4D to help me as a guide for the cubes dynamics - that were then (in a rough pass) prepared in Animate, and fine-tuned (for the final ´textured´ look) in Photoshop.
All composited together in After Effects.
